Whether you choose to study in the bustling capital city of Santiago or in elegant Valparaíso just north of Santiago, you’ll find Chile to be an excellent study abroad site with a wide array of courses and subjects available. IFSA-Bulter’s program in Santiago offers maximum flexibility by allowing you to study in up to three universities - Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad De Chile, and the Universidad Diego Portales - while the two universities in Valparaíso - Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and the Universidad de Valparaíso - provide an unparalleled opportunity for immersion into Chilean academics and culture.
Santiago is one of the few capitals in the world with easy access to both ski slopes (about thirty miles away) and beaches (about 60 miles away). A bustling atmosphere and a vital business district can be found among the skyscrapers of modern Santiago . High culture is readily available in Santiago , from museums to galleries to the incredible mix of colonial and modern architecture.
Valparaíso is the second largest city and the largest port in Chile . The twisting streets, Victorian houses, and funiculars that transport pedestrians up the hilly slopes lend Valparaiso charm and elegance. The movement of the Chilean Congress to Valparaí so from Santiago has provided a momentum to the city.
