HIST 169 Reform and Revolution: Scholars sometimes refer to the 20 th and 21 st centuries as the “people’s centuries” – a period of history when various oppressed groups mobilized and pursued reforms through violent (revolution) and non-violent (peaceful civil disobedience) means.

HIST 263 Modern Italy and Europe from 1860 to the Present: Learn about the history of Italy from the formation of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861 to the present. A wonderful course to take while spending the semester in Rome.
These one-time offerings make this an ideal semester for history majors or minors – or for anyone with a special interest in studying Rome and Italy in depth – to participate.
