Duquesne boasts faculty that are internationally acclaimed for their expertise, research and scholarship in a wide range of fields: Graduate Faculty

Scholarships:

Undergraduate - The Office of International Programs offers the Libermann Scholarship to all international Undergraduate students. This is an academic scholarship ranging from $1,000 - $14,000 annually. The Libermann is based on your past academic performance in your home country.

Graduate - School of Business, School of Health Sciences and School of Natural Sciences all offer graduate assistantships. Graduate assistantships offer students financial assistance in return for assistance with research and program management in the student's academic program.

John F. Donahue School of Business offers Graduate assistantships to any full-time students who apply and are admitted to a program. These cover only one degree program and a maximum of two years or six semesters (including summers).  They cover up to nine credits of tuition and also a small stipend (during fall and spring terms).  Assistantships are competitive and are awarded based on the educational background and application of each student. Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences offers graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships for admitted students. At Duquesne, we are committed to helping you progress and develop academically and personally. Our Career Services offer:

On-campus job interviews, internships, resume assistance, career/job search classes, interest inventory, interview training and other services.

Being located just a three-minute walk from the midst of downtown Pittsburgh, Duquesne gives students many opportunities to build networks and meet potential employees through job fairs, internships and networking events.

  • 65% of Duquesne Graduates enter the job market in a field related to their major within 6 months of graduation
  • 80% of Duquesne Graduates enter the job market in a field related to their major within 1 year of graduation

International Student gathering

Latin American Students:

Duquesne hosts approximately 500 international students and many of these students are from Latin America.

Organizations such as the Latin American Student Association (LASA) and the ISO are an excellent way of meeting other international students at Duquesne and taking part in events arranged by the organization; as well as keeping up to date with international events taking place in Pittsburgh. Take a look at our Muticultural Organizations page for a listing. The Latin American Cultural Union (LACU) is a Pittsburgh group and is also a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in Pittsburgh's increasing Latin American community.
