Student Teaching Abroad
Ireland and Italy

Overview
Students seeking certification in elementary or secondary education have the opportunity to complete a portion of their student teaching in another country. Student teachers will complete the remaining portion of their student teaching in a placement here in the States. Student teaching in Ireland or Italy, both in English-speaking schools, affords teacher candidates the opportunity to complete their student teaching with the enrichment of experiencing first-hand another culture and another school system.

Ireland
Fr. Naos McCool provides student teachers access to the Spiritan network of private institutions for the education of Irish boys. A full range of possible grade/subject placements are available, many of them in the Dublin area. Fr. McCool also assists with the arrangement of living accomodations.
