The Study in Vienna Program through the Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) provides a study abroad experience in their very own center in Vienna, the University of Vienna, and the University of Music and Performing Arts. The University of Vienna (Universität Wien) was founded in 1365 by Duke Rudolf IV and is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The University is proud of having been the home of several Nobel Prize Laureates. 63,000 students from 130 countries are currently enrolled at the University which offers more than 135 Bachelor, Master, Diploma and Doctoral programs in many fields of study.
Specially designed for music performance majors, instrumentalists and vocalists, the IES Vienna Music Program at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna offers music history, music theory, and performance studies.

Services Provided
IES provides a variety of services from organizing field trips and cultural events to coordinating volunteer opportunities throughout the city and internships for education and business majors. IES also provides a mandatory orientation program upon arrival in Austria. An IES Resident Director is on-site to provide support to all students.
